An isolated incident occurs independently of other incidents and does not have a universal cause. But when the cause is procedural and universal in essence, leading to the occurrence of incidents with high frequency, it can be deduced that the incident or incidents are no longer isolated but are part of the behavior. The pursuit of profit is part of corporate behavior, as we all know and agree, but it should no longer be disputed that the violation of human rights is corporate behavior. Commodifying human lives and labor, viewing every human being as capital and a consumer, and working for one’s own benefit at the cost of lives in a strict positivist sense are fundamental to capitalist establishments. The story of the Boeing 737 MAX is no different.
